Creative Challenge 237... table

He went to the table to have a meal.
But it was empty and bare… not even set.
He found the right table and sat down to eat.
There was plentiful food… he satisfied his hunger.

  3. Actually dining alone is my preferred condition. I enjoy the solitude. I transport everything to the table I've set, then I sit. What is on the table is there in a supporting role, as a symphony and chorus standing by quietly while I perform my solo uninterrupted by inane chatter in which I have little if any interest.

  4. Solitary dining is something I don't ever want to have to get used to.

    I agree with Mitch......Each time I read it....I had a different interpretation...LMAO

  5. Funny, I am just in the middle of Les Miserables by Victor Hugo and these words sort of reminded me. In that book there were many empty tables, compared with others that were overflowing.
